I can’t wait for this election to be done. I’m sick of gorging myself on politics, having it shoved down my throat 24/7 on TV, radio, the internet, and through direct mind control (you know the government does that, don’t you? Well, they do)
We are all pretty sure what is going to happen, and while I can’t truly endorse either of the major party candidates, I for one would much rather have jerk-off #1 (Obama) in the White House instead of jerk-off #2 (McCain). Honestly, Sarah Palin scares me to death, and I’m willing to suffer through a few years of Democrat-injected politics (government program here, government program there, government government everywhere!) than have her a weak heartbeat away from the Big Seat.
My prediction is that John McCain won’t last through 2010 (you heard it here first), and that would give Buffy the Moose Slayer two years in charge of our country to make Christianity mandatory, remove all ability for women to choose what happens to their own bodies, and run all the gays out of the country and up to Canada.
If I could have anyone I wanted, I would put Ron Paul in the Oval Office because I honestly believe he’s the guy who would do the best job, but last time I checked, nobody cared what I thought. I supported Ron Paul through the primaries, and if there were more people in the Republican party that believed in the same principles, I might still have faith in that party. But these days the difference between the two major parties is only the animal mascots they have chosen.
Obama and McCain are politicians – Ron Paul is a stateman and a patriot.
I have hope for the country, but for the most part, I think that we are greedy and selfish, self-centered and materialistic, more concerned with what up Britney’s skirt than they are with our monetary policy or the long-term viability of our federalist democracy. If more people cared as much about politics as they do their iPod, maybe our country wouldn’t be going through a financial crisis right now.
So when I hit the ballot in a couple of week, neither #1 nor #2 will be my selection, and since Ron Paul won’t be on the ballot (and you can’t write-in someone who hasn’t applied as a write-in candidate), I will be voting for either the Libertarian candidate Bob Barr, or the Constitutional Party Chuck Baldwin (endorsed by Ron Paul himself).
Some people may say that I’m throwing my vote away by not voting for a candidate from a major party, but let’s be real. I’m voting in Utah, which is about as Republican as possible. My vote won’t count anyway because of our Foobar electoral system. But I will be able to sleep at nights, and that’s enough for me.
ps: Dick Cheney drinks the blood of small children. Take that CIA!

If Obama get’s elected he will enslave the white race (it’s in Revelations) and I can’t wait. Finally, black men will pay attention to my skinny white ass!
Hey Jason! I just read on the Talbot’s blog that no one ever reads your blog! Well I did! Woohoo!
Love you Uncle!
I had the same thoughts. And thought about Barr because Ron Paul endorsed him…
People here in MA had all night parties election night…
I’m glad the elections are over, too. Now we can find out what’s really going on in the world!
