Transitions…
Haven’t written in a while, but there is a very good reason. Our new son, Connor Owen, came into the world 3 weeks ago on August 1st. After a long morning and afternoon of labor at the hospital, my Rock Star wife delivered him without an epidural.
The last few weeks have been transition in many different ways. I quit my job at Unison, we had a new baby, and our family has been working to get used to having another heartbeat in the house. Both my wife and I have been trying to find our center in dealing with the additional little one. Having one child is hard enough, but going from one to two is downright difficult! It’s very hard to switch between two mindsets: The mentoring and discipline involved with bringing a one-year-old up to speed on how to handle the world, to the constant providing and care that comes with a newborn.
But we have been weathering the storm well enough, and we are both looking forward to the weeks and months to come.
